On many occasions, Bob Kister has been honored to contribute his legal expertise and experience to the community. Below are a few highlights.
On may 27, 2016 bob attended the swearing in ceremony for appella judge Lisa page of the eastern district of Missouri court of appeals. Bob attended this event as a representative of the Jefferson county bar association to present judge page with a plaque commemoration her years of service in the 23 judical circuit(Jefferson county).
Bob Kister was recently asked by the Missouri Bar Association’s CLE Publication Division, to write the 2013 supplement to chapter 68 of the Missouri Civil Procedure. Previously, Bob wrote the 2010 supplement to Chapter 11 of II Mo. TORT LAW (Mo. Bar 3rd ed. 2003: Animal Liability). The supplement was published in July 2010. Bob has previously been a Reviewer of the Bar’s CLE (Continuing Legal Education) publications.
In conjunction with Missouri Bar Association’s 2009 “Diversity Initiative” Bob has worked with members of the Jefferson County Bar Association to recognize diversity within the practice of law. This year the Jefferson County Bar Association is presenting its “Diversity Award” to Arnold Attorney L. Richard Brinkman Jr. in recognition of his work with Vietnamese speaking residents of the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.
In conjunction with the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, Bob Kister Trial Lawyer has worked to gather incidents of employment and housing discrimination to support efforts to extend the application of the Missouri Civil Rights Act.
Bob Kister Trial Lawyer sponsored Jefferson County’s first Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Seminar sanctioned by the Missouri Bar Association during the fall of 2009.
Bob served on Washington University School of Law’s alumni reunion committee. This successful event drew Washington University School of Law alumni from throughout the United States. Bob’s class of 1980 had the highest percentage of attending class members.
